That experience solidified my belief that the algorithm needs to be executed in the prescribed specific order for it to be effective.
I followed the algorithm per the written instruction step by step and the minute I tapped my little finger I felt all the anxiety, almost like a blockage completely leave my body. We aim to provide and encourage interest and education in the Callahan Techniques® Thought Field Therapy (TFT) to both the professional and lay person, establishing standards of protocol and training in TFT. That’s when I realized that over the course of time I had forgotten a step involving the tapping of my little finger. Something didn’t seem right, so I referred to the written algorithm sheet I was prescribed. This further exasperated my anxiety, and I really felt trapped. I tried the algorithm over and over with little to no result. A month ago I had a really bad anxiety attack, however when I went to tap it didn’t bring any relief. Anytime I felt my anxiety creeping up on me, I would quickly tap my algorithm and I would be okay again. When I first started, I was skeptical that the algorithms really had to be executed in a specific order, especially because a lot of the different algorithms I was prescribed utilized a lot of the same points. Over the course of a few weeks I was able to memorize the meridian points I needed to tap to the point where I didn’t need to reference written instruction. I have been using Thought Field Therapy (TFT) to manage my anxiety for the past three (3) months now.
